Octane suddenly doesn't work in Cinema 4D MAC

Please remove the installed c4doctane version and upgrade to 2023.1.2-R2 stable:

Note that you always need to remove from the c4doctane folder, all the unnecessary c4doctane-R2X.xdlib files not related with R2X specific version, and leave only one c4doctane-R2X.xdlib file in ../plugins/c4doctane directory.

You also need to allow the c4doctane plugin and library in System Preferences/Security and Privacy panel, and restart C4D a couple of times:

After installation, please open C4D 2024, then go to c4d menu Extensions/Console, (Shift+F10), and share a complete screenshot of the panel, or copy paste the default console output in your answer, thanks.

Hi,
great to hear that the installation issue is solved!

About Toon material, please note that it needs a Toon Light, or it is displayed black, but you can also change the "Lighting mode" to "Camera Light", in the Toon tab of the Toon material:
