Hi,
I experience very slow nodes in a material when I use composite texture in combination with triplanar. I'v included a zipped C4D file in the attachment.
If you would place a new RGB Spectrum node in the material, and after that delete it. I experience a lag of 12 seconds (sometimes shorter, sometimes longer).
If I remove the triplanar nodes from the material, there is no lag anymore.
Is the lag also occurring on your end?
I'm on Octane version OctaneRender Studio+ 2023.1.1 (13000100), and octane standalone 2023.1.1 on Windows 10. Computer specs in signature.

yes it's very slow when we send to render. It takes time to while we wait scene update. Later goes faster while changing the parameters. Opened in Standalone to check and it takes time on start of rendering too. It's strange for now.

Thanks for taking a look Aoktar! Any ideas what might be causing this? It seems to go wrong once piped into TriPlanar.
I have no clue of course what could be causing it. But maybe it's calculating it for all 6 tri planar channels? While it should only calculate the X channel when 'single texture' is checked?
It's not really workable being so slow. If every parameter change, or node deletion etc. is taking so long. I'm sure you are a busy man, but is this something that has your attention to look into?

It looks like core related issue mostly. My assumption is that triplanar is not performing well with complicated structures. I'll ask it to core team, it may take time. Try to don't use it as a work-around for this case.

Thanks Aoktar for bringing it to the attention of the core team
