I need to render an animation of aston martin car in octane render 2.3 v5. The problem is once exported from 3dsmax 2011 via plugin (latest plugin) to octane , I set up materials using macros and lighting, save scene. I render from max to octane but the materials are the other way around eg the chrome on the car rims now the glass on the sides, front and back of the car. Any Ideas what I doing wrong, or should I move to an earlier version.

you are doing nothing wrong, it's just a small bug right now. There is 2 options, either asign a material node to each node in the scene, and at reload (or when you hit animate) the materials will stay as planned or wait for the oncoming new build this week, in which is fixed.
