Material ID/Cryptomatte of objects behind specular material

Hi folks,

Is there an easier and more straightforward way to read the material ID (like in a cryptomatte AOV) of objects behind a specular material? I have a scene with dozens of objects behind a glass, and if possible I would like to be able to use a cryptomatte pass without having to render the same scene twice.
