When updating to Octane version 2022.1.2_R2 (updating from version 2020.2.3_R6) I noticed all octane lights from previous projects that where using an area shape of "Sphere" with dimensions on the XYZ size just became a perfect sphere and not abiding to those different XYZ sizes; only being controlled by the "Outer Radius". Meaning I can't create an ellipsoid anymore.

Is this a known intentional change or some sort of bug or perhaps a new setting I need to toggle somewhere? Couldn't find another discussing mentioning this issue.

I reverted back to the previous version 2020.2.3_R6 and can confirm it's working as intended following the assigned size of the Sphere in the area shape of the light.
Tested in Cinema4D R23

Would appreciate any help.

Best,
Vitaliy

Light type is "primitives" and doesn't support size parameters. You need to use "default" type for case
