Hey team. I would like to see AOV groups made more accessible in Houdini.
This video shows how it works in C4d. The nodes are obviously available in houdini but it's very tedious to have to break into the rendertarget and its near impossible to figure out which nodes to use and how to implement it at all. I can't find any documentation on this.

At the moment there aren't any plans to enhance the usability of AOV in Houdini (to my knowledge). Although as soon as 2023 is released (Beta will be posted within a week or two most likely), we will be looking at general ux/ui improvements.
The compositing workflow can be an important aspect for many and a valuable tool, so I doubt it will be ignored.
