A simple question but I cant find an obvious answer!
I am outputting files with numerous AOV. the photoshop file contains these multiple times so I have far too may duplicate layers.
I am sure there will be a simple button on/off I am missing but any pointers would be useful.
attached a screen grab
thanks

Sorry but I cannot rproduce the issue here with c4doctane 2022.1.2-R2:
Please open c4d, then go to c4d menu Extensions/Console, (Shift+F10), and share a complete screenshot of the panel, or copy paste the default console output in your answer, thanks.
ciao,
Beppe
Which exact version of c4doctane are you using?

Please share your scene also, so we can reproduce the case!moose69 wrote:OctaneRender for Cinema 4D 2022.1.1-[R4] built for:200 C4D vers:20059

OK. I can not supply the file as the info is under NDA so I rebuilt a basic file to duplicate the effect. Initially it did not duplicate it so then I investigated what the differences were.
The original file was an old project that was originally produced before AOVs. It previously used render layer masks. These were turned off.
However, a test file built produced multiple versions of AOVs if there were Render layer mask IDs turned on. The number of duplicates matched the number of render layer IDs turned on.
When I turned them off the number of copies went back to 1.
The historical file seemed to retain the Render layer mask toggles ( in terms of AOV duplicates) even though they were off. There were still references to them in the ObjectTags and removing these seemed to work. However, I would rather not remove these as there is visibility info in them I wish to retain.
Essentially these seems to be some legacy info that causes it. The new test file behaved better but now that I understand older files may have issues with this I will be aware.
Thankyou

"render layer masks" are a hack to obtaing plain mattes from alpha channel. And doing it several render sessions, being a bit legacy that causes overlooked and ignored because of cryptomattes. It may causes duplication effect on PSD kind saving.
