Hello!

So there are lots of great looking Octane materials out there, like on Greyscalegorilla for example, but most of them are specifically for C4D. My question is: other than getting a Cinema 4D with Octane subscriptions and manually recreating material node trees from C4D to Blender — is there a less painful workflow for getting these materials to work in Blender? Thanks.

Hi,
you could save c4doctane materials in the LocalDB, then open Blender, and import in it the saved materials from LocalDB:

So I still need Cinema 4D and Octane for C4D subscriptions for this?

Hi,

you could use C4D demo version, and there are no more separated plugins licenses from a long time now.
if you have an active license, you can install and use any type of Octane DCC plugin, c4doctane included.

Ok, just to clarify: I only need 1 Octane license to perform this operation? Thanks.

P.S.: https://docs.otoy.com/cinema4d/Download ... erial.html - this link is broken (404), for me at least.
