Yes, please, what version is it, is it the same version released on June 13th?

I am really eager for the C4D plug-in and to be able to move onto Ventura and Cinema4D2023:

Thanks, Beppe.

If Real Time option is enabled, AI Denoiser is not performed so it must be disabled, it is also not available in PR14, so comparison with AMD is not fair.

I have removed the 40" result from the chart, and corrected the M1 base result:

Just to add some more data points, I used both 4090 at work and my M2 Max 32GB Ram and tested the scene. 4090 finished in a whopping 4 seconds and M2 Max used 26 seconds. Both use the latest standalone, PC download from the Otoy website, and mac uses the new octane X from apple's app store.

The Standalone version on Apple App Store is the Classic version for AMD GPUs.
You need to use OctaneX 2022.1.1 native for M1/M2, and the result should around 15/17 seconds on your Mac:

Looking at setting up my own little Beowulf cluster of mac minis…for 3d rendering

Mind blown! - I never once even suspected going down this particular path …but you know a fully loaded Mac mini acting as a dumb GPU for “Network rendering” … it’s about half the price of a RTX 4090 - I can actually get like four or five of them into a cluster …and Network render from a Mac Studio machine as my master - The studio by itself handles all of the Adobe apps or daVinci resolve for editing of video, etc. while the mac minis are acting as dumb rendering units …best of both worlds and silent! - And octane render my subscription it automatically comes with 10 render node licenses…..and if i need more speed rendering for a tight deadline…i just send it to the online RNDR “render farm” with one click!

Also - does anybody happen to know how much extra render nodes are after you use up your 10 with the Studio license?

Beppe… can we please get a state of the union for octane x…

Sooo many things were promised.. but so little resulting releases.. its like development has just died…

All we see is you guys dicking around with blender.. maya and cinema 4d at the very least should have been first out of the gate.. from a industry support perspective!!! ..

also octane X not being on the 2022 core.. and are we still using rosetta on M2ultra? really?

i don’t give a crap about stand alone mostly..not interested in playing on an ipad…….

I want plugins to be released regularly and an up date on network rendering.. did you guys sync or will ever sync the damn SDK yet!!!!
cross platform rendering.. even EVER going to be a thing? - i’m kinda ok with using a bunch of mac minis as a small render farm. .but is that even possible without being in rosetta mode for c4d 2023 latest version?????

Can we please get an update rather than a long ass 255 page forum post please!!!
