Hooray!!! The new addon seems to work like a charm and the appending issue is gone as well. Great job!

I was just testing the append issue in today's release of 27.16 and it still crashes. So this issue is only fixed in the 27.16 release of the addon version, not the packaged version. Maybe this could be synchronized.

BTW ... the prime version download site that is was updated on May 18th while the release was just released in the last 24 hours. Something is off here.
