I will be absolutely blunt about it without going into detail that I think a whole pack of lies were told about various things and events and I dont like that at all.
As I said there is a credibility problem.
ok, first issue:
" if Refractive are going to deliver on their undertaking which I paid for in good faith"

radiance has stated that a new release is in the working now, so let's wait for that. And in the meantime, it's just fair to give radiance a chance to deliver on his words.

2nd issue:
"I will be absolutely blunt about it without going into detail that I think a whole pack of lies were told about various things and events and I dont like that at all"

No one outside refractive software has any clue of what really happened. A smart thing to do is to refrain from speculating something we don't know about. If you really are not satisfy with that, then perhaps you may pm the persons involved themselves. But before that, probably you should ask if it is within your rights to know and to demand such an info.

Plus, even if you do pm the persons (and got some answers), there are other users on this forum who do not want to get involve in such a matter. So it's a disservice to some of the forum members to use this platform to publicly highlight it.

I completely agree with Faizol

I am one of those 2270 customers you are talking about and I don't appreciate that you speak on my name.
I am sure impatient to see the next release ... released, but I have the feeling that the Refractive team is doing more than his best, and that's enough for me.
I have the feeling that you are trying to use 'la majorité silencieuse' (the silent majority ?) of octane users to stress the team by putting your words in their mouth ...

@Faisol
You have no idea what I know about or not.
The smart thing to do would not to be a defendant for what you certainly know even less about and start telling people what to do as the basis of it.

A simple bug report a few times a week, would appease most of our interest and won't give any edge to the competition. Like having a closed thread (so that we won't troll it) where the developers would post small info, like "we squashed the X bug today" or "the proposed feature Y is being implemented / working correctly now". This is not much to ask and it would take like 3 minutes / week of their time.

And it's not like the competition can't take ideas from all the feature propositions that we users post here.

Bottomline: do your stuff, take your time, but keep the users / customers a tad more informed

I'm not defending anyone. I'm just one of the forum members who do not want to get involved in any speculations and just want to focus on what octane delivers. And like everyone else, the sooner a newer version is available, the better it is for me.

As for credibility issues, you gonna have to take it to the actual persons involved rather than to publicly discuss about it here and to drag other unwilling forum members with that. You may have good reason to take sides, but others may also have good reasons not to interfere in the matter.

cheers.

I don't like to be annoying but I agree with you guys, would be nice to be hearing from refractive software what the position is.
