when i adjust the strength of a light pass, the octane live viewer constantly restarts which wasnt the case previously.

please upgrade to c4doctane to 2022.2.2-R5_fixed version:

About Light Mixer, you need to wait to finish the rendering in Live View at 100%, before starting to play with Light Mixer sliders, or, you need to go to c4doctane Settings/Devices panel, and enable the Composite AOV outputs on GPU option.
