I suppose since other engines got their hands hard on gpu rendering, Refractive guys should have been working too hard to finish the software. I salute them all..
Last releases I suffered a lot from crashing or freezing. So now I am actually waiting for a decent stable release where I can actually use the software for my needs.
I do visit the forum every 2/3 days :D but I currently find myself dealing more with iray in order to practice it other than octane. As well as it has glitches and compability issues. But it fits in my pipeline.

Actually I do not want to try pre_v6 to use it in my workflow. I would love to test the final v 1.0 and willing to pay for v2.0 to donate the process.

OK so I suppose its time to ask the ultimate question -
Is this company dead? it seems like its become all promises/excuses and no results. :|

Some of the promising features they have to show us in the next release, also implementing CUDA 3.2 + moving office and bringing new team members up to speed also with public holidays to contend with i would say this company is far from dead. I think some have been spoilt from frequent updates and small bug fixes, where i reckon the wait here will mean allot more substantial gains for the end user (20% speed gain from fermi cards, awesome imo). I still believe iray and arion are still using the older CUDA 3.0.....

After 3+months of inactivity justified by what sounds like BS I really wonder.
Refractive need to produce something of substance soon or people are going to declare it missing, presumed dead and move on with their lives.

I don´t like this art of communication.
If Refractive has some things to say, they will it say.
I think no one from the frustrating people know other software producer. (Whose software will cost more then 10x as Octane)
Then you should know that you become often no information before a new release.
Also shut up and sit down

If I have something to say as a customer I'll say it.
My goodwill is running out for Refractive unfortunately.
I know its only a 100 euro lost at this stage if its dead for some reason but...
