Hello,
Trying to get an intel cpu 2019 macbook pro up and running with Octane in Houdini 19.5.569. The MacOS version is Ventura 13.2.1.
There is a Houdini build for Octane Prime: Octane_2022.1.1.0_Houdini_19.5.569_OSX
After getting licenses and tools configured, the IPR renders black.
There was also an issue saying that the maximum gpu limit has been met, these macs have integrated intel graphics, as well as an amd radeon 5500M. My intention is also to utilize an external 6800XT egpu.
Also, the following standalone octane builds do not open on this mac, they say they are unsupported, is this because they are meant for apple silicon? Could we get intel builds?
2022.1.1, 2022.1 macOS, 2022.1 RC3 & RC1
There being a OSX houdini 19.5.469 octane plugin available, adds to some confusion, is it possible that the latest Houdini octane plugin is simply not working in MacOS Ventura? From the download page, it looks like only the RC builds in Beta support MacOS 13
Octane PR14 opens, but does not recognize any gpu's and won't render anything.
I am reading elsewhere that it seems like there is no intel Ventura support, will it ever come?

It seems like PR14 only supports up to Houdini 19.0
But there is a intel version for 19.5.569, that one could run on mac silicon, even though there is also a dedicated mac silicon version as well.
This seems to point to the 19.5.569 intel version working just fine on Ventura, but that amd gpu support has intentionally been dropped.
Interestingly PR14 standalone launches just fine on Ventura, but it simply does not pick up amd gpus, as if octane has said, no we'll not detect non apple gpu's this version.
Could AMD gpu support be added to Ventura? There's probably a lot of people in the same boat, this basically kicks everyone not on silicon macs off of the latest Houdini Octane Versions.
