Limit of dirt/curvature nodes

I haven't gotten a definitive answer on this topic but from my own work, I noticed that there's a limit of 4 dirt/curvature nodes. Mix, Composite or anything else doesn't seem to fix the issue. Tried going a few versions back and it stays true for them as well so I assume it's not really a bug, just wonder how difficult would it be to either entirely lift that limit or just up it a bunch. thanks.
