Before anyone asks, I'm using the latest nvidia studio drivers on my 4090 and the latest octane version (2022.1 r6) on Cinema 2023.1.3. It's been this way for so long I just assumed that there was an incompatibility with octane and the viewport so I just turned off the textures in the viewport since otherwise it would be completely black. I feel like i'm back in the 90's working this way. I've found a bunch of people with this issue going back many years but I don't see any solution. It's not in the documentation that I can find either. Even asking chat GPT told me to ask you guys.
EDIT: Why have a "check for latest version" option if it doesn't actually check for the latest version? I manually updated to 2022.1 r10 and it didn't fix the issue.
Are any of you able to see textures in the viewport?

Hi,
everything is working as expected here: Also Material preview seems not updated.
Please close c4d, then try to delete the oct.dat file, at the following path:
C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\MAXON\Cinema4D-RXX_random_code\prefs\oct.dat
A new oct.dat file will be created on next c4d start, and the c4doctane preferences will be reset to default.
ciao,
Beppe
