displacement issue after scaling

I have been creating a foil embossed logo on a bottle using a composite material and a displacement map.

I have to scale the whole object down to 10% of it's original size to render it in another scene, and when I do the displacement does not look the same, it's messed up.

Is there a way to scale the object and keep the displacement looking exactly the same?

Got it looking ok by using project scale in c4d, then changing the displacement level of detail from 2048x2048 to 1024x1024.

It's not quite as smooth as it was but close enough.

It would be useful if the level of detail was controlled by a slider rather than a set of doubled resolutions. It would be good to set it at say 1600 x 1600 for example.
