Hello
While the actual workflow and implementation it's great when you want to see something that's far in detail - I was curious if locking the camera resolution and just scale that up is possible?
Many thanks.
IPR - Lock camera resolution and scale the image

I think an option to fit the image to the window would be a cool third option. Where it's the right aspect ratio but you can scale it down into a smaller window.
If I'm understanding the request feature correctly, it would be kind of like "digital zoom", as opposed to real zoom. An advantage would be that you wouldn't need to restart the render in order to "zoom" in on part of the image.
I don't see any major difficulty in adding something like this (and the scale to fit feature) to the IPR window. I'll add it to our internal bug tracker.

Yes. First advantage would be not restarting the render and the one that is quite annoying - not needing to find space on the screen to fit the IPR - thus the fitting option.
That would be awesome.
Many thanks

I think this is the expected behavior (see attachment), people are expecting the IPR to update whenever a new element is added and to be able to scale the Canvas Size and the Zoom

Yes. To speak frankly - the rs renderview behavior regarding the scale and resize.
Yes please. The main use, for me at least, is not the ability to zoom into the image at a fixed resolution, although that can be helpful; It's zooming out! Once you start rendering something in Octane larger than your panel size you're a bit in limbo until you can snapshot it to Mplay. A toggle for either mode would be ideal as it's still great to have the current functionality.
Thanks for the suggestion, I've added it to our tracker.EyasArraf wrote:Yes I agree. We need some of the abilities of the MPlay in the Octane IPR.
Digital zoom and a color sampler that can give you RGB info about pixel values.
Much needed for VFX work and light matching to real footage.
