On Apple App Store you can find free OctaneX Classic (Standalone PR14 version) for Intel/AMD Macs + macOS Monterey.

I already have Octane X Classic installed, and I get this message when I try to open the app:

\U201Coctane\U201D is damaged and can’t be opened. Delete \U201Coctane\U201D and download it again from the App Store

Even installing again, still the same.

Good catch, I hadn't spotted 'real time rendering' was on by default for me.

When I go to downloads it says there's a Mac 2022.1
But I can't find the corresponding forum post with details about this.
Can anyone help me here.
Absolutely cannot recall if, a couple of months when I asked about Octane Mac and network rendering, 2022.1 was out or not.

So could someone kindly direct me to the forum post,
And
Are there any updates on when we can work on Mac with network rendering please?
Headless is fine but kind of pointless, the thing should be to also add the render power sum of all machines.

@northalex78:
OctaneX version 2022.1 for M1/M2 is now identical to the CUDA version, so there are no more special OctaneX discussions, and it is published directly in the 2022.1 Standalone discussion, or corresponding plugin discussion.
Here is the link to Standalone 2022.1:

But, if you are on Intel/AMD Mac, you need to stay with macOS Monterey and old OctaneX PR14:

@iRota:
Yes confirmed, OctaneX Classic free Prime version on Apple App Store is giving an error, weird, since I'm sure to have installed it recently :roll:
I have forwarded the report to the team.

Anyway, Studio and Enterprise Standalone versions are working here, and from your screenshot, it seems a specific issue of your machine, so, I'm going to writr to you via Private Message.

OK thanks! That's good news. If they are identical now, when will network rendering work between M1/M2 and PCs please?
If not any time soon, then why is this, if they are now identical?

As soon as this is possible we can update some machines and workflows.

On another post/forum page here, another user said end of year???? Once XB and RC builds of 2023 get to a stable point. But that's... kind of insane. Another year to get network rendering back?
