So I understand variations of this question have probably been asked 1000 times,
but I want to disable my lights interacting with a fog volume at all. I have a seen where I am trying to light an object in a volume fog, and I want the light to lighting the object ONLY - light pass masks dont work, and even hide diffuse/ hide specular on the light settings still means the fog volume is super bright. No matter what setting, the light is still lighting up the fog volume.

What is a way to work around this (besides ignoring fog and using z-depth)

Put an Octane Object tag on the volume and enable "Use light pass mark", and set the light pass ID that you want to only light your object as disabled on the volume.

I spent a day playing around with this and it never worked.
Now it is - Maybe I just needed to refresh my Live Viewer.
Thanks!
