As it's summer here in New Zealand, Christmas usually means sand & beaches to us instead of snow. Hope you are having a good one where ever you happen to be.

Merry Christmas to the Octane world. I'm surprised to not see more themed renders here. I'm working on one to share and compare, but I have some new export scripts for Rhino that I just got from the guys at McNeel and will post my scene sometime today. Sam Page please take note as these scripts rename the Rhino materials in a manner that is better for Octane, I think. I may need your help with their use and you should contact Brian James and Steve Baer for more info on them. Brian did a great materials for Brazil (Rhino) tutorial and posted the files used in that and I added a catamaran model that I had been rendering in Octane and was suprised that it rendered fine in Brazil. A little playing around and editing and now it is my Christmas card with thanks to Brian for the milk and cookies! Here it is as rendered in Brazil and I'll post the Octane version shortly for comparison. I'd gotten spoiled by the speed of Octane, go back to your old renderer for a while and see for yourself. Thanks to the crew at Octane and still hoping for the latest version as that Christmas surprise....

Hi C3design,
I have some new export scripts for Rhino that I just got from the guys at McNeel
Could you post the script or a link, please?

I have this disgusting problem with material names in Rhino all the time.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards
