1-I don't advice the mix material because of drawbacks in Cinema4D. Go with composite materials
2-Mix two sub_materials with "Side" texture node for the effect

the material is correctly setup, but can work only if the cloth doesn't have thickness.
If you cut the cloth, you should see the red interior in the thickness.
You should need to have 2x cloth objects, one with positive thickness, and another one with an Instance of the first object and negative thickness: ciao,
