My new system :D

Hello guys,

Today i have gotten my new system, funded by my grandapa. Let me first say that i am not spoiled in anyway. I didnt even ask for it, just like my current system he just went out and brought it for me. He is a very nice man.

Here is the specs:

CoolerMaster HAF X
GA X58A UD7 Motherboard
Intel core i7 980X 3.33 GHz
2 x GTX 580
12 GB ram
112 GB solid state HD [Start Up]
2TB internal HD [Storage]
Windows Ultimate 64 bit

Now here is the problem, the place where we got it was jammed back with orders there are three radiance's there i mean three people working day in and day out. So i admire them for there hard work and effort but they didnt do the right delivary.Here is what is missing:

~2TB HD
~Windows ult 64 bit
~Front fan isent working and light

The 2TB was really a let down there is the start up but no main and the internal harddrive is like the 3rd most important thing. So we need to get that in.

Now i currently have home prem 64 bit installed so my grandpa got me windows ult but he accidently got me 32bit instead of 64 bit. We laughed and both were dissapointed at the same time.

And the fan LED and front fan isnt working.

And the system itself is acting weird, the windows update is paused and crashed x4 times. So that means i cant do any installing with out it crashing.

So i need to send the computer back tomorrow and with a shred of luck the guys at the store will fix these problems up, then i can install everything and get back into the octane competition, that reminds me i forgot to deactivate my licence i need to do that soon. BTW the inbuilt browser dosent have spell check so soz for the incorrections.

Sounds like a good solid system. Very nice.

But what about the power supply? All that hardware needs a good power supply to properly run it. If its anything less than 700Watts with that configuration could explain some of the odd, crashing or unstable behaviour.

Ah thanks for reminding me, I just looked at the box now it is a ax1200 so I think that should be enough

yep, although the pictures are on my other HD, i did a test and it took about 20-14 min to get the result, that the 580 has

Wait, you didn't even give him the spec? Wow, your grandpa must be an ubergeek ... just kidding .

Great spec there! Corsair AX1200 is awesome (i have HX850 which is only slightly less awesome ). You can even Tri-SLI 580s safely with it and still have some room for OC.

Well, my machines are funded by my father too, it's always feel nice to give him the credit for supporting me. What feels better than showing your awesome works to your supporter and giving him the credit for it? He will be very proud and happy, and thats invaluable
