Here's a short video and as you can see in the last version 2021.1.6 R7 there seems to be a bug. The RotX and the RotY of HDRI in the Environment tag don't work. I've tried in R19, R25, R26 and R2023.1.0 (I don't have R20, R21, S22, R23, S24 installed) and there is always the same issue. So I've reinstalled the previous 2021.1.6. R6 and it works fine. Win 10, RTX 3060, 64 gb RAM.

Can you show nodes inside environment tag ?
Architectural Visualizations http://www.archviz-4d.studio
You can change the title like this:
"HDRI RotX and RotY don't work because it's not accepting to work with C4D's Bitmap node". It will work if you use Octane's ImageTexture without putting anything over that.

I use R7 as usual. Environment tag-> load HDRI in the Texture and nothing else. It is a C4D Bitmap node in R7. But it is a C4D Bitmap node also in R6. In R6 Rotx and RotY work but in R7 don't work. Here's a short video and as you can see in R6 there is a C4D Bitmap node. They are both C4D Bitmap node: in R6 they work, in R7 they don't work

Yes you're right about that's not updating. It's applying the parameters but no update. Probably it's related to my latest fixes to make the environment changes to make it higher performer. Btw what's the specific reason to use Bitmaps? They are crippled without any native image parameters, like no colorspace or others of imagetexture.

You have made the point: the parameters are not updated. As far as I know the C4D Bitmap node is created automatically when you load an HDRI. It would be great if an Image texture node was created instead of a C4D Bitmap node. Using R7 it needs to change C4D Bitmap node to an Image Texture node manually every time. I.M.H.O. the best solution is the updating of the parameters as in the previous versions
What you mean created automatically? Just click the second icon to create imagetexture and assign any image. That's the expected workflow. Also you can drop images to LiveViewer to create or replace environments.62STARTREK wrote:You have made the point: the parameters are not updated. To load an HDRI in the Folder icon directly, not using the ImageTexture flag. In other words: if you load an HDRI using Imagetexture flag RotX and RotY work fine, but if you load an HDRI by the Folder icon, so not using the flag, the parameters don't work, but in the previous versions they worked. And if you load an HDRI by Folder icon it creates a C4D Bitmap nodeWhat you mean created automatically?
