Hi guys,

Google didnt help that much, maybe someone can explain it in a proper and all covering way here. A simple task, but HOW ON EARTH do I get a noise free, proper and accurate shadow on the ground for compositing over a live action plate?

The Setup:

- 3 Main objects.
- These Objects are on Layer 4
- A floor plane with a simple diffuse material

PLease see the attached render settings and parts of the rendering , I can't really share anything else due to strict NDA.

No matter how high I set the render or the max info samples, the shadow doesn't resolve.

Plus: why are the passes getting tonemapped? I use Rec.709 as an output OCIO and the shadow layer has a grey tone so you can't composite via multiply.

All I want is a clean shadow pass. It's driving me nuts... -.-

Any help would be much appreciated.
