I seem to get hung up after the first frame. when rendering in the Live Viewer, the render takes about 45 seconds. When rendering in either the render queue or the picture viewer, it seems to hang after it reaches 100%. I let it run last night for 15 hours, and still didn't get the first frame out.

which GPU do you have in your Mac?
render in Picture Viewer, then please go to c4d menu Extensions/Console, (Shift+F10), and copy paste the default console output in your answer, thanks.

I downloaded the Cinema 2023 build Studio posted here further back in the thread and it doesn't show at all. Even the usual pop ups for verification don't show so it isn't even getting that far. I have C4D 2023 running on an M1 MacBook Pro with Monterey 12.3.1
@RegSquires:
With Monterey and M1/M2 chip, you need to install the following version:
https://render.otoy.com/plugindownloads ... R4_OSX.zip
Instructions here:
viewtopic.php?f=85&t=80247#p414534
For C4D 2023, you need to keep the R27.xlib file, and remove both R25 and R26.xlib files.

Beppe

How could you work with R21? We don't have any version for thatnipper127 wrote:I updated my MacBook Pro M1 max last night to the Ventura update and now every time I try to render with Octane a pop up appears saying that "There is no GPU device which is selected" and it always worked before. I use Octane with C4D R21.

Thank you Beppe this works great. Seems a lot faster and snappier and it works in 2023 which is great. However the Denoiser is still very slow. Is this coming in another update. As it is its is superb and I am using C4D's built in Intel Denoiser which is pretty good. Thank you for the link
Regards
Richard
