Looks like someone else has stumbled into the wrong forum. This is the octane forum. You need overclockers or something like that.

I'll give an answer anyway before this thread is moved by a moderator.
Attempting to power up the main board with only a broken trace usually will not damage anything unlike a short circuit can. Either nothing will work at all or some feature(s) will be dysfunctional. Still, I would recommend a professional evaluate and repair the main board. Also, sometimes the cost of replacement or exchange is a far better option than attempting to repair or risk damage to other parts.
Depends on how deep the scratch is and where it is on the main board. It takes quite a bit of force to fully scratch deep enough though the coating to cut into the copper traces. Wetting the scratch area with small drop of non conductive and clean evaporating liquid like 90% rubbing alcohol will allow you to see closer with a magnifying glass, Looking for a visible or exposed copper. If the you see any breaks of the copper trace lines, a small spot of solder can repair it, As long as no other nearby traces are also exposed or broken. I've repaired this a few times myself, but its very delicate work and requires the right tools. You'll need to paint over any exposed copper to prevent the traces from oxidising, depending on your local environment– again, when in doubt, refer to a professional or simply get the board replaced. Its not worth the risk of further damage.
If no traces are broken and its just a surface scratch - dont worry about it, its fine.
If there is dammage to the copper traces - replace it, or have a professional repair it.
Regards,
