Hi Paul - so I noticed that if I have image denoising on (denoise after render) and am rendering an animation then MODO will render the first frame of the animation and then hang without saving. If I turn off denoising then everything will render as normal. Octane 2021.1.6 and Octane for MODO 2021.1.5 for MODO 15. I'm using MODO 16.

My other sub of MODO is working fine - weird thing is when I check the version under kits (and look at the kit in the content directory) it says Octane for MODO 2021.1.3 (not 5). Even though they system/apps shows I have vers 5 installed. Anyway, that one works (sorry don't want to confuse things)

Also, drivers are current.

Greg if I view help > kit version, it shows OctaneRender 2021.1.5.186. I also tried an animation with denoising and both PNG and EXR multilayer saved without hanging.

I'd re-download and re-install 2021.1.5.186. It looks like you have an old build installed.

Thanks Funk, yeah - I did that a couple of times without it working. I'll maybe try reverting to an even older version or something. I'm also trying to export some orbx files and it's really hit and miss in terms of the camera animation being exported. Sometimes cameras motion export works fine...other times camera is just stuck in the same place. You ever see that?

I rarely animate so I can't say I have. The best thing to do is get simplified scenes to Paul.

Just following up on this - it's not MODO. Exported an ORBX and Octane stand-alone hangs on image denoising during an animation. I uninstalled and re-installed Octane multiple times (2021.1.3 and 1.6 and 2022 XB3). So it's something else.

What's the CUDA file Octane needs called? Maybe I have an old version of that on this computer? I'll try replacing that.

Ok...not the Cuda files.

Well, I give up. This is an old computer - my second one died so I had to dust this one off and install octane. I'm guessing there's some old version of something somewhere creating this issue since I haven't bumped into it before.

There are no CUDA files to update. Octane automatically downloads the required libraries.

It could be a driver issue or a bug. I'm currently on 472.84 drivers. Try upgrading/downgrading your drivers and see if it fixes it.
