Hey all,
I just did a render on one machine in one session, and the cryptomattes are changing every frame. This wasn't an issue a couple weeks ago on another project. Anyone seen this before (see link)?

I am having the same issue. The only thing that has changed, recently, are updates to Windows 10, and the NVIDIA Studio Driver. I don't know why the Cryptomattes are now shuffling IDs perframe. I am having it happen for materialID and objectIDs.

In my scenes, everything is constant. I should point out that scenes that used to work, now are not. Something in the nvidia driver is suspect.

It worked in this version of Octane. The drivers are all that has changed.

We are having the same issue here... Single object, nothing changes in scene except a rotating object with 4 surfaces. Anyone figure out a reason? We are still on LW2019.1.4 and Octane 2020.1.5 and Nvidia driver 461.40.
Any resolution/solution on this ? I have also crpytomatte changing colors between frames?
EDIT:
When i have scene which is Reloading (like in case of OBJ sequence) all then colors are changing/popping between frames randomly even in Object/MaterialID not just Cryptomatte.
IF scene is in Upadate only mode (not possible with OBJ sequences sadly) than all is stable..
So is this General Octane BUG or plugin issue ??

Any thing that causes reload resets the seed for the IDs. Start and stop a render, even if nothing is set to reload, changes the seed. Since technically it’s reloading when you start again. And of course if you have update materials turned on. This will reset the seed every frame. I can only use material pin name and object reliably. But even those will change if you stop/start a render.
