Hey there,

i have a little architectural project and noticed that my rendertimes got crazy with the the photometric light. So i tested another approach and used an area quad light and mapped the .ies file onto that. Works great and is a lot faster. Would it be possible to add an "use quad light" option to the photometric light?

Thank you in advance

Hey Paul, i think something is not right with the photometric light. It hink the orientation of the ies projection does not match the modo one. In addition the Quad Light changes the orientation too.
What is weird is that this seems to be different with different ies files

I couldn't reproduce any issue with my test scenes. Can you please send me a scene which demonstrates the problem?

Thanks
