Drop Live DB MAterial on object

Node drop down material system is terrible for a scene with many elements...this limit too much Octane respect to others Render Engine..
I'll be in future drop down directly a Live DB material on object?

You can already do this, just drag and drop a material from the livedb to your render viewport and release on the object in question to apply it?
