Hi,
I’m wondering lately that with upcoming brigade and real-time rendering in general if it wouldn’t make sense to add some new real time related features to octane studio.
Things like VR viewer, animation keyframing or possibly some basic interaction models. By interaction I mean functionality like door opening on trigger or some menu button, light switching, material or object swapping…
Things that a lot people use unreal engine for: archviz, interior design, walkthroughs, furniture customization/presentation, those are mostly basic functions and unreal is quite a bit undertaking esp. for individual or small studio. I think octane studio has great potential here to be some sort of in-between product, where it’s not a whole game engine but also not just a renderer.

See this my WIP project as a different form of the standalone. We are targeted some features as your wish. Like having asset library, easy navigation and basic animation tools.
