Hi all,

i'm using Cinema 4d with Octane 2020.2.4, I'm using one 3090 and i'm happy with the results.

Now we need a new workstation in the office and i would like to have the possibility to use 2 gpu cards, i was thinking about 2x 3090 but but the system starts to consume a lot since I will also mount a 3970X 32 core.
The company that has always assembled all the machines for us, it proposed me to mount 2x A5000, which like Octane Bench would be slightly below 2x 3090 but consuming almost half.
I wanted to find out if anyone had already tested the A5000 with Octane and whether or not such a system is recommended.

At the Viewport level, I knew that in general, with Cinema 4d, the GTX always behave better than the Quadro, which is not the case in 3d max.
Can anyone confirm or deny this thing?

Thank you so much in advance.

That's probably good for Facebookers, but since question was posted here and this is the official forum plus I happen to have similar question, comparing RTX A5000 to 3090, would anyone have first hand Octane experience with the A5000?
Many thanks,

Hi,

I am currently running an A5000 (aircooled out of the box) and RTX3090 (watercooled) together.
Noticeably hardly any difference for me. But A5000 has way less power consumption
and is really not very noisy. But RTX3090 are becomming cheaper again.

If I didn't already have 2x 3090 with water cooling, I would
rather buy 1 or 2 more A5000 and kick the entire water cooling crap into the bin :(

regards
Mike
