Hey! Can you please tell me if there is any way to transfer materials from Cinema 4D octane to Houdini octane? Maybe bake?
Ideally, make sure that the shader settings are preserved.
The fact is that we set up design, lighting and rendering in cinema, and the subsequent complex process, the project hierarchy and final rendering is done by a specialist in Houdini

Hi,
you can export separate objects or an entire scene with Octane materials in ORBX format.
In Houdini load them in a ORBX proxy.
Or use LocalDB to transfer only materials.

You can save the materials in localdb and load them in Houdini.

But the implementation of orbx materials in houdini is frustrating, extra nodes are added by default for every node, so make sure you have the right material in C4D octane and save it as orbx via localdb. Keep in mind that if you wanted to edit these materials in houdini, you're are gonna have a very hard time.
