when I want to use s26 with newest Octane C4D does not start. When I delete the Octane folder in plugins it does start. Any known issues here?
S26 doesn't start with Octane

if you are working with an M1 Mac, there is an issue with R26 and Rosetta mode.
Better to stay with C4D R25 and OctaneX-PR14, in Rosetta mode, for now.
If you are working in Windows, probably the plugin is not correctly installed, note that you always need to remove from the c4doctane folder, all the unnecessary c4doctane-RXX.cdl64/xdlib files not related with R26 specific versions, and leave only one c4doctane-R26.xdlib file in ../plugins/c4doctane directory.
