Hi,
I've tried to scatter some leaves and this strange white outline appeared.
No matter what I've tried, except removing material's opacity, nothing helps.
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
I am attaching a simplified test scene with the same problem -
Using opacity with Octane Scatter

Hi,
OctaneRender has issues with opacity planes intersecting each other, so you should need to add 1cm of random Position, to avoid intersections of the planes, and remove the random P Rotation: ciao,

Thank you for your reply!
In my original scene, the floor plane has applied material with displacement, so Random Position has to be more than 1cm. But even 1-2cm already introduces a very prominent shadow that leaves cast on the ground, which is not convincing, it is obvious they are flying above the ground. Is there any other solution to scatter leaves over terrain? What is the usual workflow?

You can turn off cast shadows for leaves. There is way to make them as additional texture layer on top of the ground.

Try to scatter real geometry, instead of opacity planes, it should be more realistic, and even faster to render.
