hi - is there a best practice when it comes to render passes in Modo? I am experiencing everything - when Octane is rendering, most of the time I can switch render passes, make changes, leave auto add on, etc.. without issue but many times it causes an immediate crash - modo just shuts down instantly - I cannot find a consistency - should I always stop the render before switching passes? what should I expect in this area?

Thanks - if you post a .lxo here with specific steps I need to take to get the crash, I will investigate further.

been a long time and I've been caught up in the habit of stopping the render to hit the apply button as I still have inconsistent (but majority of time) instant crashes when I hit apply while the render is going - I really would love to solve this if possible, here are my specs :

win 10
modo - 15.2 and 16
2x 3090
1x 2080ti
amd 5950x
64 gigs of ram
octane enterprise 2021.1.5.186

it happens on any of my files... if I have the auto add button enabled, I do what is "normal" I think and after making a change I hit the apply button. the crash is totally instant, and when I restart modo it does ask if I want to reload.
attached is a lxo. file.

any help would be fantastic.

Hi. What is the "apply" button please?

Have you tried deleting your MODO*.CFG files?

Thanks

This crash should be fixed in the next release of the plugin - which will be compiled with Octane 2022.1. At this point, I am not planning any more Octane 2021.1 releases.
