hi..
i know this might have been discussed before (and might not be a 'new discovery' here..) but i think i must share this..
even after using the 'hot-pixel' removal tool (keeping it lowest minimum value)- fireflies- more appropriately- caustics appear- which are actually tough to get rid of...
attached is a part rendering of group housing (cant post the entire image)- where the caustics dont get cleared even after 8000 passes in pathtracing...please see near the pool area..
also attached is another rendering- where caustics dont clear even after 13000 passes or so...
i think the hotpixel removal tool needs to do more than this.. :?
anyway i am thoroughly impressed with octane, it does surpasses what i had used before..(vray,kerkythea etc.)

btw...as you can see the system specs are just OK..not too good..
i cant decide whether to buy GPU-X, or to buy a desktop with good specs...though i just got dell precision, and macbook also recently- but they both lack what it takes for octane..buing a third laptop (maybe Alienware) would not be ok thing to do...better to decide on GPU-X or whatever Refractive team is going to suggest soon... :)

in the swimmingpool one they could be caused by a too high value in the bump either of the stone border or the water plane, try lowering both and see if it solves in less samples.
