So I've been combining Sun and HDRI for a while, using the mix skies option.

However one thing I could never find out - I always need to eyeball the direction alignment of the sun and the HDRI skies. And it's really hard to get them to match perfectly, which results in a double shadow.

Is there anyway to perfectly align the sun direction with the HDRI sun direction? Or to cancel out the shadows of the HDRI or something?

Thanks!

Hi,
you can cancel the Sun in the HDRI in Photoshop, or you can use a Panoramic Camera, in Equirectangular mode, to perfectly match the two suns.

Hi Beppe!
I'm trying the method with the panoramic camera but I can't see the Hdri and the octane sun at the same time. But I'm using the rhinoceros plugin...I hope it's not a limitation of the plugin...thanks,
Roy
