octane hair random color

Try this — its a little bright, but just replace the gradient with something more preferable. For more realistic hair, use the Melanin and Pheomelanin inputs, described here: https://docs.otoy.com/cinema4d/HairMaterial.html

Remove the W Coordinate node from the setup then. That will force the hair to be the same color along the entire length.

Hi,
Random-Color node works with render-Instance objects, not Hair.
Try to replace it with a simple Octane Noise (Perlin).
The Hair are taking the color from the root.
