some genius could modify the Chaos textures node in the way that the randomization follows squares instead of triangles?

If you want to use this to randomize regularly patterned surface like a brick wall but still keep it regular, it's not going to work. Whether it blends between three points or four points it won't look good.
For randomizing a brick wall you'd better look into multi-texture systems.
