As a MacHead since 1984 and Poser user since v1, I've been longing for faster rendering solutions on Apple hardware.
Tragically, my 27" iMac was too old, and not nVidia GPU equipped, so early Octane releases were incompatible.
This year I acquired a 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max with all the bells and whistles, so I've been champing at the bit to get my teeth into Octane.
My patience paid off this month when Octane X support for M1 was released, so I could finally make use of my Prime subscription.
Blender is fine, though still on 2.93 and not an installable plugin, so Blender 3.1.0 M1 GPU support can't make use of Octane yet.
All that TL;DR history aside, I'm primarily a Poser user and Python script developer, so I thought I'd throw an offer to assist beta testing any Poser Octane plugin for M1 macOS.
