Good day, I'm having issues rotating/animating my sky object. I simply just have a cloud HDRI and any attempt to keyframe the rotation appears to work in the live viewer when manually rotate it, but when I render the animation through keyframing it, the rotation veers off upwards eventually and then begins to track backwards. I've tried rotation through X parameter in the environment tag, I've attempted through the UV transform in the node, all appear to deliver the same effect. When I check the F-Curve track it seems the curve does what it says it should, simply goes from one degree to the next without appearing to track backwards, yet the animation continues to do the same. Any help is appreciated!

I'm noticing if I create a new scene file and animate it the way I have been doing, there is no issue. If I remove all other animations that are happening in my scene with the original file and rotate+animate the skybox, there is no issue. The issue seems to be when I have multiple items animating at once. Such as my camera following a track, another object rotating on its own. When I do this it seems to interfere and create issues for my skybox's rotation.

Hi,
you should need to specify which exact version of plugin you are using... please load the scene in Live View, then go to c4d menu Script or Extensions/Console, (Shift+F10), and copy paste the default console output in your answer, thanks.

Anyway, weird
Please check that the Geometry Control is set to All Objects Movable, in Render Settings/OctaneRender/Main tab.
Otherwise, please post a simple example scene that shows the issue, thanks.

ciao,
Beppe

I repeated with a basic similar scene in default c4d renderer and the issue is the same. The octane version is as follows. I've also attached the test file for the repeated issue. And yes all objects movable has been set by default already.

Hi,
please upgrade C4D to to R23.110.
Build 23.008 is too old.

Then please upgrade c4doctane to 2021.1.3:
viewtopic.php?f=85&t=79374

Note that you need to remove from the c4doctane folder, all the unnecessary c4doctane-RXX.cdl64/xdlib files not related with R23 specific versions, and leave only one c4doctane-R23.xdlib file in Program files/Maxon/C4D R23/plugins/c4doctane directory.

ciao,
Beppe
