I currently use Octane 2021.1.1 and was trying to update to 2021.1.3, but when I do, Cinema gets hung up in the splash screen while loading the plugins. I also tried 2021.1.2 but got the same issue. I also tried restarting my computer and then running Cinema, but nothing changed. I'm also running the latest Nvidia studio drivers.
Does anyone know of something I could try to get the new Octane version to work?

Make sure you have just the one XDL installed for your version of Cinema. Mine is c4dOctane-R25.xdl64 Remove the others that are not specific to your version of Cinema 4D.
Puget Systems / Intel Core Z790 ATX / RTX 4090 / Cinema 4D
Yes, I forgot to mention I did this as well, but still encountered the glitch. Also, I load my plugins through the folder linked to the "Open Preferences Folder" location (Appdata\Roaming\Maxon\etc...).jayroth2020 wrote:Make sure you have just the one XDL installed for your version of Cinema. Hi,
maybe the plugin got corrupted during unpacking
Or maybe you have more than one c4doctane folder installed in C4D
Please download and install again c4doctane 2021.1.3, but this time use 7zip to uncompress the .RAR archive, it is free:
https://www.7-zip.org/
If not enough, please write to help at otoy dot com, we have a tool to check c4doctane installations.
ciao,
Beppe
