I don't know if this is already possible, but can you enable a flag when running Octane so the window is in the background?

When rendering out test animations, its very frustrating when Octane keeps popping up in the foreground everytime it imports a mesh, doing the voxelizing etc. Numerous of time im either writing an email or such, and then suddenly the import window pops up, and I press some key cancelling the rendering.

not currently, but we're working on a scriptable command line version for animation rendering.

Hey, you can stop Octane and any other program from doing that. Here's what worked for me. It's supposed to be default behavior in Windows, but for some reason it is not:
