@SSmolak, what is your ultimate goal in this particular case? Do you want to change the colors/brighten/darken (of) the Y Axis faces?

I want to add more indirect light to polygons that are faced to ground. In some light scenarios Octane have problems to give to these polygons light. They are underlighting. Especially under balconies that are 5-20 meters from ground. They are not lighte as in Corona or Vray renderers.

That is why I want to add more indirect light to them.

This can be resolved using AOV but there is something bad because some nodes have problem to mix Diffuse Indirect with Beauty.

I am still researching your assumption about mixing, but you might get what you want with the PT kernel instead of using DL, generally speaking. Or am I missing something here?

Thank you very much. Anyway there is still problem with AOV. Diffuse Indirect is treated like Beauty pass in node system if it is connected to other nodes.

@SSmolak, adding the Diffuse Indirect to the Main Beauty pass is working properly, though you have an error in your AOV tree. I am including a corrected version of your file to assist you.

To make this work properly, you need to adjust your Wall material and your AOV flowgraph. The corrected Wall material makes use of the Capture (to Custom Texture) AOV, inserted between the Triplanar node and the Diffuse on the Wall material. It is set to Custom AOV 4, as illustrated below:
Corrected_Wall_Material.png
In the AOV flowgraph, you need to create a Custom AOV. To do this, go to Render Settings > Octane Renderer > Render AOV Group tab > Render AOVs turndown and click on Add Render AOV > Custom > Custom AOV and set the ID to Custom 4 (in this example) and set Visible After: to None-Primary Rays Only.

Next, go to Render Settings > Octane Renderer > AOV Groups tab and add an input, which will create a Composite AOV Output Layer node connected to a Composite AOV Output node, which is then connected to the Composite AOV(number) input pin on the Octane Renderer node, as illustrated below:
Corrected_AOV_Flow.png
Make sure you have two input pins on the Composite AOV Output node (select the node and choose Add Layer if needed.) Now, connect your Diffuse Indirect node to the Input pin of the Composite AOV Output node, making sure that the Blend Mode is set to Add and the Alpha Operation is set to Blend Mode. Then, Create a Render AOV Output node and choose Custom AOV 4 as the input, and the Output channels to RGB. This section should be connected to the Layer 2 input pin of the Composite AOV Output node.

Connect the Beauty AOV node to Layer 1 of the Composite AOV Output node, and make sure its Blend Mode is set to Normal, and the Alpha Operation is also set to Blend Mode. I have added an additional Composite AOV Output Layer node in between that connection, but it does not seem to be necessary for the bottom layer of this composite (which is what we have built).

This result is now viewable via the Out1 button in the Live Viewer. When comparing Main to Out1, you will clearly see that Out1 is brighter, due to the Add operation. Therefore, you can properly add a Diffuse Indirect on top of a Beauty (or anything else).

The only thing I have not been able to do is to isolate the bottom faces at this point. Currently discussing that point with the dev team.

We will be releasing a documentation update next week that contains detailed AOV information, and updates all around, focusing on the 2021 series.

here's a fixed test build. Please check it for reset in OSL scripts and crypto+info passes issue. I'll put it to download if it's fixed that.

Can you update demo version too ? wParallax developer has problem with updating C4D scenes that uses OSL script because of this issue.
