HI all.
Noob here (and I have searched since it seems like such an obvious issue).
How come there are jagged shadows on simple spheres ? Its clearly a shadow terminator problem but subdivisions to get rid of it make the geometry absurdly dense.
It seems like there must be a simple solve (I've hit tesselate in the objects "octane" tab and rammed the numbers up to the top (makes no difference). Any pointers welcome. Thank you

Hi,
In Standalone, I often set to 3 the the native geometry primitive sphere's sub-division level.
I exclusively use Standalone and in one of the latest releases, a "shadow terminator checkbox" option is available.
I believe, since the 2021.1 XB2 release: viewtopic.php?f=33&t=77996
