Hi, I just cooked a long render. Unfortunately I did not set the Z-Depth right (need to move things back).

How do I just render the Z-Depth without re-rendering the RGB all over again?

Thank you!

Joe.

Use the Info Kernel and create a Z-Depth AOV from Render Settings > Octane Renderer > Render AOV group > Render AOVs turndown. Click on the Add render AOV button and choose Info > Z-Depth AOV from the menu that appears. Make sure you click on the Enable button.

Hello,

select your kernel node and change it to infochannels

bellow is a drop down where you can select the zdepth pass and under that is the maximum zdepth setting where you can configure its coverage

EDIT: Apologies I answered like I was using standalone, in c4d open your octane settings, in the kernels tab change your kernel to infochannels, in the type dropdown select zdepth, and bellow that is zdepth max to config the coverage, this renders only the zdepth and ignores everything else, no need to create AOV

if you change your kernel back it will keep your settings. e.g change it back to path tracing, but the common settings are not shared, if you changed your samples or ray epsylon it will not be the same

Reassuring. I'm not the only one.

hahaha, standalone is the next step when ones start using the plugins, more stable and focused, removes the dcc system load and intervention from the equation.
