The render region does not match the main render. It is almost as if the post processing isn't included in the render. I've included a photo.

Separately, I needed to use render region because stopping and starting this render resulted in the random color node on the texture being buggy. The texture is applied to a cloner with render instances set on. The middle light that is supposed to be blue randomly turned pink after restarting the render. Randomly switched back to blue at one point as well when firing the render again.

Sorry, but which version of c4d and c4doctane are you using exactly?
Please share more info and screenshots.

I'm using c4d S24 and the latest studio 2021.1 R4.. I was waiting to upgrade to S25 after this commercial project I'm working on.

Do you want more screenshots of the render region not matching? For the previous photo I've composited the 'render region image' over the 'main render image'. No settings were changed except I turned on render region.. I rendered both images after one another as a test.

As for the Random color node it always appears correct in the live viewer. I just realized that the 'random color node / gradient' on the spheres in my scene did the same thing while taking these screenshots. Both the lights and the spheres are part of c4d cloners with render instances on. When restarting the render mid scene the random color node is changing seeds basically.. I sometimes stop and start the render and when I restart the render sometimes I pick and new start and end frame and save the project. That's what I did here.

This is happening in multiple scenes now. I'm rendering long 4k animations for client work so this really hurting me now. I'm not changing any settings just restarting the scene again and the random color node is changing on c4d cloners.

I will try to asap. I was trying to replicate it today on my home system and could not..

I did leave out a big detail.

It appears it might have been because I 'Saved The Project with Assets' to render half on a separate computer with identical c4d/octane software at my office. On the other computer the seed of the random color has changed.

I'm scrambling to rerender some frames today and not in the office but I will try to narrow down this annoying problem even more

Okay so I fired the render again and the random color is changing seed by itself again. Still appears correct in live viewer.
