I'm having a problem with emissive VDBs in both Octane 2020.2.3 and 2021.1-(R2).

I'll set them up with a texture emission and volume gradient and everything will be fine until I re-open the project, at which point there is no way to get the emission working again. The VDBs are still there, absorption and scattering work but they're no longer emissive despite all the settings being the same. I've tried unplugging the nodes, but to no avail. The only way to get them working again is to delete the VDBs and start over.

Thanks in advance for the help.

edit: Despite working in the live viewer, they're also not rendering at all in the final picture viewer.

No matter what I try, the problem persists. Anyone?

Sorry, I cannot reproduce the issue here, vdbs are working as expected
Try to upgrade to 2021.1-R4 and report back, thanks.

Beppe

Thanks Beppe, turns out it was a mapping error on my part. Feel free to lock this thread.
